The question of whether Scotland should choose it’s own National Anthem arises periodically. I’m very aware that there are a large number of potential candidates for this prestigious title, but I’m sure there is room for one more contender ! I’ve written two versions of “The Lion and The Cross” because, for me, it’s essential that our anthem should be playable on the bagpipes. I hope to have created a tune which is both stirring and memorable .. but I’ll leave that for you to decide !
